When Should I book my Preview

Not sure when is the right time to book your trial

The bridal preview or trial is a 90-minute service that features a through consultation regarding your skin type, wedding style and more in order to determine the best look for yourself and your bridal party.

Makeup and hair previews are important to book sooner rather than later. The sweet spot for preview is between 4 – 9 weeks before the wedding.

Things to consider before booking your appointment

-       Do you have a wedding date in mind, summer, spring, fall or winter.

-       Where are you getting married are you having a wedding in your city or a destination wedding?

-       Do you have your wedding venue? Will it be a luxury downtown hotel or out on a country farm?

-       Do you have a wedding dress? Will it be a ball gown? Or Mermaid? Is it strapless, or long sleeved with a plunging neckline?

All these things can impact the way your wedding makeup wears. The preview is a great time to go over these details with your hair and makeup artist. Rather than spending time booking several trials to test out several looks, make sure that you communicate all the things you love and hate. A great artist is listening to the details. I find my inspiration in the small details like color scheme and dress type.

PRO TIP:  Book your preview on the day of your bridal shower, bachelorette party or dinner date, that way you can test out the look and the longevity of it. I always suggest we alter the look a little bit to keep your wedding look a surprise!
